Top 10 Players from the Preliminary Matches + 6 players from specified Time Zones will be going to the Main Matches. The 3 Time Zones are below:

The Americas

Europe & Africa

Asia & Australia

The top 10 players will be determined by the top 5 players from the First Half and another 5 from the Second Half. Next, the top 2 players from each Time Zone will also be going into the Main Matches.

In a case where a qualified player overlaps, the ticket to the Main Matches will be passed on to the next player in placement.

Once all 16 players are determined, the 4 guest Professional players will be holding a live-streamed draft pick among the 16 players to create a 5 player team.

The top 16 players will need to pitch themselves to the team captains to be selected. This will be live-streamed on Riichi Mahjong Central and JanSaku’s YouTube channel, so be prepared to either be on camera, or have an avatar! If translation aside from English/Japanese is required, please let us know so we can find someone in the community to help you.
